Foreign teachers come to Hubei Kindergartens

Chutian Metro Daily (Journalist Le Yi) reported a number of foreign prospective teachers took internships in Hubei, which has already been for 5 days both in the second and third kindergarten of Hubei provincial authority. Eight undergraduate students majored in Pre-school education from Telemark University College have come to Hubei kindergartens to accumulate international education experience. This is also the first time for foreign prospective teachers coming to Hubei as interns.
25th, February, journalists went to the second kindergarten of Hubei provincial authority to have a close look at their interaction with Chinese children.
As shown in the picture, the senior class 1 had an activity called making hot dry noodles. Lisa prepared hot dry noodles with special Norwegian taste and fed Xinxin (a child). Xinxin liked it very much, which made Lisa quite happy. She smiled proudly to her friend Theresa. In junior class 6, Ning played an acrobatic performance, all the children thumbed up and shouted “wonderful” to her.
A few days ago, when these four foreign teachers just came, the children felt a little bit surprise and fear. Gradually, the four Norwegian girls eliminated the children's strangeness by their sweet smile and hug. They arrived at kindergarten at 7:30 every day. However the arranged time is 7:45 actually.
Ms Yi said “In their eyes, the responsibility of pre-school teachers is not only to take care of the kids, but also to play with them”. Now the four Norwegian teachers are the most popular teachers in the kindergarten.
Ms Li also said “when the four foreign teachers play with kids, they usually sit on the floor together with the kids, which make children feel kindly and friendly. Moreover, they are eager to learn new things. I asked them to learn some simple Chinese words and phrases in order to communicate with the kids more easily. Then they brought simplified Chinese books the other day and they can speak around 20 Chinese sentences now”.
As is understood by the journalist, Telemark University College has signed a new agreement with Hubei provincial child education school on 7th of April, 2010. According to the agreement, on 13th of February, 2011, there would be eight students from Telemark University College coming to Wuhan to have 35 days’ internship in four kindergartens respectively.

楚天都市报讯（记者乐毅）中国幼师教学，外籍准幼师在旁“听教”，这种场景在湖北省省直机关第二保育院、第三保育院已经持续了5天。来自挪威泰勒玛克大学的8名学前专业大学生，来此积累“国际经验”。而据了解，这也是外籍准幼师首次来湖北实习。
2月25日，记者走进湖北省省直机关第二保育院，近距离观察了她们和中国孩子的互动。
当天早上，该院中（一）班有个制作热干面的活动（如图），爱笑的莉莎将自己调制的“挪威口味热干面”喂到小朋友鑫鑫嘴里，看到小家伙吃得很香，莉莎对着老乡特蕾莎“得意地笑起来”。在小（六）班，一头金发的宁表演起手抛球的小杂技，小朋友们看得直竖大拇指，冲着宁直叫wonderful（非常棒）！看见一个小朋友流着鼻涕，宁还马上找来纸巾给他擦干净。
就在前几天，这四名“洋幼师”第一次来到幼儿园，孩子们还有点惊讶和害怕。慢慢地，四个挪威姑娘用微笑和拥抱消除了孩子们的陌生感。每天7：30，她们就到了学校，而按规定，老师入园时间为7：45。
中（一）班的易老师说，“在她们眼中，幼师的职责不是带孩子，而是和孩子们一起玩。”眼下，她们已成了第二保育院的孩子们最爱缠着玩的人。
小（六）班老师李娜说，这四个实习生和孩子交流时都是直接蹲着甚至跪着，玩游戏时，她们也会一屁股坐在地上，这些举动让孩子感到很亲切。“她们的学习热情都很强，第一天来时，我让她们抽时间学点汉语，好与孩子们交流，结果第二天上午，她们就带来了简易中文书，现在已经会说二十几句中文了。”
据了解，2010年4月7日，挪威泰勒玛克郡与湖北省实验幼儿师范学校签订了“校际学术交流与合作协议”。根据协议，今年2月13日，该郡泰勒玛克大学8名学前教育专业的学生，分期到武汉4所幼儿园进行为期35天的实习活动。
