University of Agder


by plane: The closest airport is Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik. From Kjevik, you can take the airport bus to Grimstad/Arendal and Kristiansand.(some useful information can be found at


by train:Kristiansand is a main station on the "Sørland" railway line which goes from Oslo S to Stavanger. Arendalsbanen goes from Nelaug station on the Sørland rail to Arendal station. Grimstad does not have a train connection; however, buses run to Grimstad from both Arendal Station and Kristiansand Station.


by bus to Grooseveien, Grimstad: Buses from the west follow E18, turn at the Statoil petrol station, and continue towards the centre of Grimstad. Get off at Grooseveien. The underpass and the route to the university are sign-posted. Buses from the east follow E18 and Arendalsveien to Grimstad bus station. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to the university.


Telemark University College


Both Oslo-Gardermoen and Sandefjord-Torp airports are convenient. There are bus and/or train connections to all campuses from these airports. It takes about 3 hours by train from Oslo-Gardermoen to Porsgrunn railway station directly, or about 1 hour by bus from Sandefjord-Torp to Porsgrunn.


Gjøvik University College


Norway’s national airport, Oslo-Gardermoen, is situated between Gjøvik/Lillehammer and Oslo, 1 h 30 min by bus from Gjøvik, and 1 h 45 min by train from Lillehammer. Gardermoen Airport has good connections to all main cities in Europe, directly or via Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen. If you come to Norway by train, you will arrive at the central station in Oslo. From there you can continue by train or bus to Gjøvik or Lillehammer. The trip takes roughly 2 hours.
