There are two organisations in Telemark - "Made in Grenland" and "Innovation Norway" - that are working towards establish an international network in Grenland. The goal of the network is to help develop companies' international expertise by means of collaboration, training and conferences.

Herøya Industrial Park is located in the city of Porsgrunn in Telemark province and has an industrial history spanning over 80 years. The site is owned by Hydro and covers an area of around 1.5 square kilometers and boasts a well-developed industrial infrastructure. Today a number of international businesses are located here that employ over 3,000 people. Total capital turnover at Herøya is approximately NOK 9 billion, and 85 % of the products manufactured here are exported.
